Angie's honest notes

If you travel often for work, conferences, meetings, events or vacations, this is one of those little things I think is worth having in your suitcase. I have been using mine for about six months, and for me it has been simple: fewer wrinkles, less stress, and I feel put together.

Why I pack it. Even when I fold everything carefully, clothes still come out of the suitcase wrinkled. This steamer is compact and lightweight, so I can steam a blouse, dress, shirt or outfit right in the hotel room before getting dressed, without setting up an ironing board.

How I use it. I fill the removable tank underneath with water, turn it on, let it heat up and pass the steam over the wrinkles. Mine has Low and High steam and a Dry setting. At home it is handy too, when I only need to freshen up one or two pieces and do not want to pull out a full-size iron.

What OGHom says. The brand describes this model as a 2 in 1 steamer and iron, 1000W, that heats up in about 30 seconds and works on 110-240V.

Good to know. Before traveling internationally, check the voltage on the label of your own unit and follow the instructions in the box, including the type of water it recommends for the tank. Never steam clothes while you are wearing them, keep the steam away from your skin, and let it cool down and empty the tank before packing it.
