Afloia Air Purifier for Bedroom, Kilo White

I bought this Afloia air purifier on March 24, 2024, and I still use it almost every day. I keep it right in my bedroom, and it has become part of my daily routine.

How I use it. During the day I run it on a higher setting to refresh the air in my room, especially when cooking smells make their way into the bedroom. In my experience those lingering odors clear surprisingly quickly and the room feels fresher afterward. Once it feels fresh, I usually turn it off. At night, if I want it running, I put it on the lowest or sleep setting.

At night. On the low setting it makes a soft, steady, white-noise-type sound. I find it relaxing, and it is gentle enough for me to sleep comfortably.

What Afloia says. The brand describes a multi-stage filter with a washable pre-filter, designed to help capture airborne particles such as dust, pollen and pet dander, plus common household odors, with 360° air intake around the unit.

The filter light. On my unit the ring is normally green, and when it is time to replace the filter it changes and flashes red. Mine is red in my photos because it is reminding me to change the filter. I like not having to guess; once it changes, I replace the filter and reset the indicator following the instructions.

Good to know. Mine is the earlier version from 2024. The one on Amazon now is newer, so some details may be different (the current listing describes a 4-stage filter, more light colors and a longer timer). Read the instructions before using it, keep the air intake and top vent clear, and change the filter when the indicator tells you to. When you buy a replacement filter, check that it matches your exact model.
