Clinique Even Better All-Over Concealer + Eraser, Alabaster CN 10

I have been using this for about eight months, and it is the one that changed my under-eye area.

It covers, and that is only half of it. Yes, it hides my dark circles. But what I love is that it is also a treatment. With time it de-puffs the area and the dark circles actually get lighter, not just covered up. That is the difference between this and a regular concealer, and it is why I keep buying it.

It feels like nothing. Super light. It does not go pasty and it does not feel heavy on the skin, which under the eye is everything. That is a big part of why I love it, and why it is one of my favorites.

It does not settle into the lines. It stays where I put it. It does not gather in the creases under my eye through the day, which is the thing that ruins most concealers on me.

How I put it on, step by step. First I go in with my d'Alba serum, gently, one pass over the under-eye. Then I put my finger there so the skin stays smooth and open. With the little doe-foot tip of the applicator I draw two small lines under the eye. Then I use the other end: you pull off the cap and there is a tiny sponge built in. I tap with that sponge, little taps, until the whole under-eye area is blended and covered. That built-in sponge is the part most people do not know about, and it is what makes it look like skin instead of makeup.

My eyes do not sting. This one matters if you have ever used something under your eye that made your eyes itch or water. This does not. I put it on that close to the eye and I feel nothing.

Why Clinique. This is not the only Clinique product I own, and there is a reason. Their formulas are fragrance free, allergy tested and tested by ophthalmologists, which matters a lot for something you are putting right next to your eye.

What you should know before you buy. The tube is small, 6 ml, and it is not a cheap concealer. And the treatment part is not overnight. Clinique says you start seeing the change in the look of dark circles in about four weeks. In my case it took using it steadily to notice it. So buy it planning to use it every day, not to test it for a week.

Skip it if you only want something to cover a dark circle today and you do not care about the rest. A cheaper concealer does that. What you are paying for here is the treatment over time.
